Who writes and who reviews

Clinical pages — conditions, guides, exercises — are written or reviewed by named clinicians: Dr. George Bolotin, MD (Founder & Medical Director) and the clinical team listed on the medical team page. Every clinical page shows its author, its medical reviewer and the date of the last review. A page without a named reviewer is a draft: it is marked as such, it is not indexed by search engines, and it should not be relied on.

What we will not claim

• We do not say orthotics cure, treat or heal anything. We say what a design is built to do — support, offload, cushion — and that it may relieve symptoms associated with a condition.
• We do not diagnose. The quiz matches a product design to your answers; it is not a clinical assessment.
• We do not use "clinically proven", "doctor-recommended" or "medical-grade" unless a named clinician and a cited study stand behind the specific sentence.
• We do not show before-and-after images of feet.
• Competitor facts appear only on comparison pages, only from the competitor's own published pages, with the URL and the date we read it.

Sources

Clinical claims cite peer-reviewed literature or major medical institutions (for example PubMed-indexed journals, the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, the NHS, the FDA and the IRS for FSA/HSA rules). Sources are listed at the end of the page with access dates.

AI assistance

We use AI tools to research, outline and draft. Nothing clinical is published without a named human clinician reading the full page and approving it, and every fact is checked against its source before publication. If a page was AI-assisted, this policy is the disclosure; the reviewer's name and date on the page are the accountability.

Corrections

Found an error? Email care@evensteporthotics.com with the page URL. Substantive corrections are made within 5 business days and noted on the page with the date. Pages are re-reviewed at least annually; the "last reviewed" date only advances after a real review.

Reviews and testimonials

Customer reviews come from verified buyers only. We do not offer incentives for positive reviews, we do not suppress negative ones, and any incentive offered for leaving a review of either kind is disclosed next to it. Testimonials describe one person's experience; results vary.

Advertising

EvenStep pays for advertising. Content pages are not advertorials for other companies and we do not accept payment for placement or product mentions. Guide pages that list over-the-counter products alongside ours say so, and do not use affiliate links.
