Metatarsalgia
A metatarsal pad placed from your impression and a cushioned forefoot — designed to lift and spread the load off the ball of the foot.

By sport · custom orthotics
A stiff, low-profile shell that spreads pedal pressure across the arch — shaped from your impression for the tight, stiff-soled cycling shoe.
Designed for
On a bike the foot never lands — it pushes, thousands of times an hour, through a stiff sole onto a small pedal. All of that force wants to go through the ball of the foot, which is why long rides end in burning toes and numb forefeet.
This design spreads it. A stiff shell shaped to your impression supports the whole arch so the pedal load is shared along it instead of concentrated on the metatarsal heads. It is low-profile for the tight volume of a cycling shoe and thin on top, with no cushion to compress and steal power.
Stiff firm shell, low profile, thin top cover, no forefoot cushion; full length trimmed to cycling-shoe lasts.
From your kitchen table to our bench
Everything happens at home except the making. Milled and finished by hand in our New York workshop, from domestic and imported materials.
Where it hurts, what you do all day, which shoes. We match one of 25 designs to you — no diagnosis, just a fit plan.
A foam impression kit ships within 1 business day of your order. Press each foot into the foam, close the box and send it back. Five minutes, no appointment; shipping is free both ways.
Your impression is checked the day it lands — that is the day your delivery clock starts. A technician contours arch, heel and forefoot to your foot; the shell is milled to that contour, finished and checked against your impression.
Under 10 business days from the day we receive your impression, tracked the whole way. Counted in business days from the day your impression arrives at our workshop. Slide them in, lace up, walk. 180 days to decide.

Burning under the ball of the foot on long rides, from pedal pressure concentrated on the metatarsal heads. Spreading that pressure across a supported arch is the fix, and a stiff shell shaped to your arch is how.
They are low-profile for exactly that. Remove the shoe's thin insole. If your shoes are very snug, tell us and we trim tighter.
Cushion compresses under pedal load and wastes power. The shell is stiff and thin so the force goes to the pedal and the arch shares it.
Your orthotics are shaped from an impression of your own feet, not a size chart, and the shell is set to your weight band. We confirm the length from the impression and trim the pair to the shoe type you told us about. If anything is off, a remake is free inside the 180-day guarantee.
A shelf insole is one of three or four shapes chosen to fit millions of feet; it cushions but it cannot hold a heel or contour an arch that isn't its own. A custom orthotic is shaped from an impression of your foot, so the heel cup, arch profile and forefoot relief are yours. If a shelf insole has already solved your problem, keep it — we say so in our guides.
Full-length designs fit sneakers, walking and running shoes, work boots and most lace-ups; remove the shoe's own insole and slide ours in, trimming along the guide if needed. The three-quarter design is for dress shoes and flats where there is no room for a full insole. Each pair is shaped for one shoe type, which is why a second pair for a different shoe is $139.
