Morton's neuroma
A precisely placed metatarsal dome to spread the third and fourth metatarsals — for the burning, tingling pain between the toes.

By condition · custom orthotics
A metatarsal pad placed from your impression and a cushioned forefoot — designed to lift and spread the load off the ball of the foot.
Designed for
The metatarsal heads form the ball of the foot and carry your weight in the last part of every step. Hard floors, impact sport, tight or raised-heel shoes, a high arch or a toe that has drifted all push more load onto one or two of them, and they burn.
The fix is to spread and lift. This design builds a metatarsal pad into the shell just behind the heads — positioned from your impression, not guessed — so the bones are lifted apart and their heads unloaded. The forefoot is cushioned, and arch support means less weight tips forward in the first place.
Medium shell with a softer forefoot section and an integrated metatarsal dome; full length; trims along the guide.
From your kitchen table to our bench
Everything happens at home except the making. Milled and finished by hand in our New York workshop, from domestic and imported materials.
Where it hurts, what you do all day, which shoes. We match one of 25 designs to you — no diagnosis, just a fit plan.
A foam impression kit ships within 1 business day of your order. Press each foot into the foam, close the box and send it back. Five minutes, no appointment; shipping is free both ways.
Your impression is checked the day it lands — that is the day your delivery clock starts. A technician contours arch, heel and forefoot to your foot; the shell is milled to that contour, finished and checked against your impression.
Under 10 business days from the day we receive your impression, tracked the whole way. Counted in business days from the day your impression arrives at our workshop. Slide them in, lace up, walk. 180 days to decide.

Just behind the metatarsal heads — never under them. It lifts and spreads the long bones so their heads carry less pressure. Placing it from your impression is the difference between relief and a new sore spot.
Metatarsalgia for an ache or burn under the ball of the foot across two or three heads. Morton's neuroma for a sharper pain between the third and fourth toes with tingling into the toes. Both use a metatarsal pad; the neuroma design places it to spread those two bones specifically.
Only if the shoe has a removable insole and some depth. For slim dress shoes, the three-quarter design with a metatarsal pad is the better fit — mention metatarsalgia in the order notes.
Your orthotics are shaped from an impression of your own feet, not a size chart, and the shell is set to your weight band. We confirm the length from the impression and trim the pair to the shoe type you told us about. If anything is off, a remake is free inside the 180-day guarantee.
A shelf insole is one of three or four shapes chosen to fit millions of feet; it cushions but it cannot hold a heel or contour an arch that isn't its own. A custom orthotic is shaped from an impression of your foot, so the heel cup, arch profile and forefoot relief are yours. If a shelf insole has already solved your problem, keep it — we say so in our guides.
Full-length designs fit sneakers, walking and running shoes, work boots and most lace-ups; remove the shoe's own insole and slide ours in, trimming along the guide if needed. The three-quarter design is for dress shoes and flats where there is no room for a full insole. Each pair is shaped for one shoe type, which is why a second pair for a different shoe is $139.
