Everyday & work · custom orthotics
Heel and arch support that ends behind the ball of the foot — for dress shoes, flats and loafers with no room for a full insole.
Designed for
Dress shoes, flats and loafers rarely have a removable insole, and they have no depth to spare. A full-length orthotic either will not go in or lifts the foot out of the shoe. Yet those are exactly the shoes a long day at a desk, a counter or a clinic is spent in.
The three-quarter design keeps the part that matters — the heel cup and the arch contour from your impression — and ends behind the ball of the foot, so the forefoot sits on the shoe’s own footbed. It is slim, the heel cup is shallower for low-volume shoes, and it seats itself so it does not migrate.
Medium shell, three-quarter length, slim profile; a metatarsal pad can be added when you order (note it in the comments). No trimming needed.
From your kitchen table to our bench
Everything happens at home except the making. Milled and finished by hand in our New York workshop, from domestic and imported materials.
Where it hurts, what you do all day, which shoes. We match one of 25 designs to you — no diagnosis, just a fit plan.
A foam impression kit ships within 1 business day of your order. Press each foot into the foam, close the box and send it back. Five minutes, no appointment; shipping is free both ways.
Your impression is checked the day it lands — that is the day your delivery clock starts. A technician contours arch, heel and forefoot to your foot; the shell is milled to that contour, finished and checked against your impression.
Under 10 business days from the day we receive your impression, tracked the whole way. Counted in business days from the day your impression arrives at our workshop. Slide them in, lace up, walk. 180 days to decide.

No. The heel cup seats it and the shell is shaped to the shoe's footbed, so it stays put in normal wear. A small adhesive dot is included for shoes with very slick footbeds.
In low heels, yes. As heel height rises the forefoot takes more weight and there is less the orthotic can do; above a couple of inches we would rather you did not expect much from any insert.
Full length whenever the shoe has a removable insole and the depth for it — it supports the forefoot too. Three-quarter is for the shoes that don't: dress shoes, flats, loafers, low heels.
Your orthotics are shaped from an impression of your own feet, not a size chart, and the shell is set to your weight band. We confirm the length from the impression and trim the pair to the shoe type you told us about. If anything is off, a remake is free inside the 180-day guarantee.
A shelf insole is one of three or four shapes chosen to fit millions of feet; it cushions but it cannot hold a heel or contour an arch that isn't its own. A custom orthotic is shaped from an impression of your foot, so the heel cup, arch profile and forefoot relief are yours. If a shelf insole has already solved your problem, keep it — we say so in our guides.
Full-length designs fit sneakers, walking and running shoes, work boots and most lace-ups; remove the shoe's own insole and slide ours in, trimming along the guide if needed. The three-quarter design is for dress shoes and flats where there is no room for a full insole. Each pair is shaped for one shoe type, which is why a second pair for a different shoe is $139.
