Designed for
Who this pair is for
For the roll you can see from behind
Pronation is normal — every foot rolls inward a little as it lands. Overpronation is that roll going further or lasting longer than it should. The ankle tips in, the arch flattens, the shin rotates, and over a shift or a run the strain shows up along the arch, behind the inside ankle bone and at the inside of the knee.
This design resists the roll from below. A medial heel post — a wedge in the shell under the inside of the heel — tilts the foot slightly outward; a firm arch carries the midfoot through the step; a deep heel cup keeps the heel upright. The geometry comes from your impression, so the post and the arch sit where your foot rolls, not where an average one does.

FAQ
Questions about the overpronation pair
Still unsure? Write to care@evensteporthotics.com — a person answers.
How do I know I overpronate?
Shoes that wear on the inside edge, an ankle that visibly tips inward when you stand, and ache along the arch, inside ankle or inside knee after long days are the usual signs. A clinician or running-shop gait check can confirm it.
What is a heel post?
A wedge built into the underside of the shell at the heel that tilts the foot slightly outward, resisting the inward roll. It is set into the shell from your impression, not stuck on afterward.
Overpronation or flat feet design?
Choose overpronation when the main complaint is the roll — ankle and knee. Choose flat feet when the arch itself is the sore, tired part. They share most of their geometry.
How do I know they will fit?
Your orthotics are shaped from an impression of your own feet, not a size chart, and the shell is set to your weight band. We confirm the length from the impression and trim the pair to the shoe type you told us about. If anything is off, a remake is free inside the 180-day guarantee.
What's different from a shelf insole?
A shelf insole is one of three or four shapes chosen to fit millions of feet; it cushions but it cannot hold a heel or contour an arch that isn't its own. A custom orthotic is shaped from an impression of your foot, so the heel cup, arch profile and forefoot relief are yours. If a shelf insole has already solved your problem, keep it — we say so in our guides.
Which shoes will these fit?
Full-length designs fit sneakers, walking and running shoes, work boots and most lace-ups; remove the shoe's own insole and slide ours in, trimming along the guide if needed. The three-quarter design is for dress shoes and flats where there is no room for a full insole. Each pair is shaped for one shoe type, which is why a second pair for a different shoe is $139.
