The long-shift design proportioned for women's footwear: deep heel cup, firm arch, durable top cover — for the shoes you stand in all day.
Designed for
Women’s footwear is cut on a different last: a narrower heel, a different forefoot shape, less volume. An orthotic proportioned for men’s shoes sits proud in it, and an orthotic that sits proud is one you stop wearing.
This is the on-my-feet-all-day design — deep heel cup, firm arch from your impression, durable top cover, cushioned forefoot — shaped to women’s lasts and sized on the women’s scale. Built for the nurse, the teacher, the retail floor, the kitchen.
Firm shell, deep heel cup, forefoot cushion, hard-wearing top cover; full length on women’s proportions; trims along the guide.
From your kitchen table to our bench
Everything happens at home except the making. Milled and finished by hand in our New York workshop, from domestic and imported materials.
Where it hurts, what you do all day, which shoes. We match one of 25 designs to you — no diagnosis, just a fit plan.
A foam impression kit ships within 1 business day of your order. Press each foot into the foam, close the box and send it back. Five minutes, no appointment; shipping is free both ways.
Your impression is checked the day it lands — that is the day your delivery clock starts. A technician contours arch, heel and forefoot to your foot; the shell is milled to that contour, finished and checked against your impression.
Under 10 business days from the day we receive your impression, tracked the whole way. Counted in business days from the day your impression arrives at our workshop. Slide them in, lace up, walk. 180 days to decide.

The proportions. Women's shoes are cut on a different last — narrower heel, different forefoot shape — and this version follows it so the orthotic sits flat in the shoe. The design and firmness are the same.
Choose by the shoes, not the label: if you buy men's shoes, order the standard version in men's sizing.
Flats with a removable insole and some depth, yes. For slim flats and dress shoes, the three-quarter design is the better fit.
Your orthotics are shaped from an impression of your own feet, not a size chart, and the shell is set to your weight band. We confirm the length from the impression and trim the pair to the shoe type you told us about. If anything is off, a remake is free inside the 180-day guarantee.
A shelf insole is one of three or four shapes chosen to fit millions of feet; it cushions but it cannot hold a heel or contour an arch that isn't its own. A custom orthotic is shaped from an impression of your foot, so the heel cup, arch profile and forefoot relief are yours. If a shelf insole has already solved your problem, keep it — we say so in our guides.
Full-length designs fit sneakers, walking and running shoes, work boots and most lace-ups; remove the shoe's own insole and slide ours in, trimming along the guide if needed. The three-quarter design is for dress shoes and flats where there is no room for a full insole. Each pair is shaped for one shoe type, which is why a second pair for a different shoe is $139.
