Who this pair is for

Plantar fasciitisHeel painEverydayStanding workWalking

Designed for the first step of the day

Plantar fasciitis is pain along the band of tissue under the arch, worst with the first steps after rest. This design does three things to that band: it holds the heel bone in a deep cup so the fat pad stays under it, it supports the arch along its full length so the fascia is asked to stretch less with every step, and it puts a soft pad exactly where the heel lands.

The shell is shaped firm from your impression; the contour is yours, not a size-chart average. It is finished with a smooth top cover and trims along the guide to fit most sneakers, walking shoes and work boots.

What to expect

Wear them an hour or two on day one and add time daily; expect one to two weeks before they are in your shoes full-time. Keep stretching your calves — the pair works on how each step lands, the stretch works on the tissue. If the arch feels too tall or the heel cup too deep after two weeks, tell us: a remake is free inside the 180 days, and so is the refund if you would rather.

  • Arch contour taken from your impression, not a low/medium/high pick-list
  • Soft heel pad under a firm shell: cushion where it lands, control where it counts
  • Full length, trims along the guide to most sneakers, walking shoes and boots

FAQ

Questions about the plantar fasciitis pair

Still unsure? Write to care@evensteporthotics.com — a person answers.

Will these help my first-step heel pain?

They are designed to offload the fascia and hold the heel from the first steps after rest, which is when plantar fasciitis is usually worst. Persistent heel pain still deserves a clinician's look.

Firm or soft?

Firm shell, soft heel pad. A plantar fasciitis design needs control under the arch and cushion under the heel — an all-soft insole gives you neither.

Can I wear them in running shoes?

Yes for walking and easy running. If you run more than three times a week, the running design has a different forefoot profile and works well as the second pair.

How do I know they will fit?

Your orthotics are shaped from an impression of your own feet, not a size chart, and the shell is set to your weight band. We confirm the length from the impression and trim the pair to the shoe type you told us about. If anything is off, a remake is free inside the 180-day guarantee.

What's different from a shelf insole?

A shelf insole is one of three or four shapes chosen to fit millions of feet; it cushions but it cannot hold a heel or contour an arch that isn't its own. A custom orthotic is shaped from an impression of your foot, so the heel cup, arch profile and forefoot relief are yours. If a shelf insole has already solved your problem, keep it — we say so in our guides.

Which shoes will these fit?

Full-length designs fit sneakers, walking and running shoes, work boots and most lace-ups; remove the shoe's own insole and slide ours in, trimming along the guide if needed. The three-quarter design is for dress shoes and flats where there is no room for a full insole. Each pair is shaped for one shoe type, which is why a second pair for a different shoe is $139.
